The iPad Mini has been a bit neglected in recent years, to the point where there was speculation about its future place in the iPad line-up. The 7.9-inch tablet hasn't had an update since 2015 – until Apple's surprise hardware announcement in March. The latest version of the Mini – the iPad Mini 5 – has an updated A12 Bionic chip and supports the original Apple Pencil. It keeps the lightning port and the headphone jack, although the front-facing camera has been updated. The iPad Mini is essentially just a shrunken version of the new Air. It also supports some of the more power-hungry games, including Fortnite, which is a point in its favour.
The Mini is back – the iPad Mini, that is, complete with updates
