Following on from the success of Theme Park back in the early 1990s, Bullfrog released Theme Hospital, a (kind of) sequel that gave gamers control of a hospital, allowing them to micromanage everything from treating patients to hiring janitors. As with all sim games it sounds humdrum but is addictive and lots of fun. The player must balance the budget, arrange the layout for efficient patient treatment, prevent the hallways from filling with sick (it escalates very, very rapidly). Online games platform Origin is offering this download for free for a limited time, so go relive your gaming youth. It is also offering 48 hours of free play on Sims 4 until the end of the month: good value during the leanest month of the year.
