Install: Vonage Mobile App
Vonage Mobile is a messaging app for both the iPhone and Android devices. It’s bit like Skype or Viber; free to download with free text messaging and phone calls to other Vonage users. You needn’t sign up with a username and password because it uses your mobile phone number and extracts your phone’s address book, letting you know who else is using the service. It runs in the background even when closed so texts and calls come through. A good way to supplement your SMS/voice allowance.

Watch: Facebook Parenting
Last year Rebecca Black's Fridaywas the biggest viral video on YouTube. Facebook Parentinghas now bumped it, with 11 million hits in a day. An angry US dad reads out a letter in response to his daughter's Facebook rant about chores.
It may sound boring but skip to the end and you’ll see why it’s so popular. His lesson on social media etiquette consists of whipping out a .45 calibre gun and shooting his daughter’s laptop several times, adding at one point, “this one’s for your mom”.

Keep: My Opt-Outs
Google has implemented privacy changes to combine more than 60 different privacy policies across its services. This means it has pooled data from all of your Google services to deliver a more personalised experience. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, you can always install this extension created by Google for the Chrome web browser. It permanently opts your browser out of personalised online ads meaning this kind of data tracking is disabled. It doesn’t block other kinds of cookies so other sites can still track you.

Don't use the internet to procrastinate when you can procatinate instead. This website is an awesomely cheesy mixture of pixelated cat GIFs on repeat with dance-floor classics thrown in for good measure. You haven't used the web properly until you've seen a moggy endlessly throw a left and right hook to the strains of Eye of the Tiger. Enter at your own peril; it's horribly addictive and will leave you with a serious case of the giggles.
