Movember Games
Give your manly facial hair a work-out with this fun Google Chrome game. Movember Games is a perfect way to surreptitiously get a bit more fun (while you can) from your moustache by using it as a game control.
Sounds weird? Well fire up your browser, allow access to the web cam on your laptop or PC and watch as your upper lip balances a bar bell and does a work-out. There are currently four games to play. The Wizard will go live in week four!

Goodbye Twinkie!
I remember, when I was 13, one of my school friends brought back some Twinkies from her holidays in America. They were different than any other snack food I’d ever eaten; corn syrup sweet and overly processed, not especially palatable but strangely moreish.
Now we say adieu to America’s most famous confection as the manufacturer Hostess announced its closure last week. Read this intriguing article from Spy magazine on the one snack that – as urban legend has it – can survive a nuclear holocaust. Did you know that excess Twinkie consumption has been successfully used as a murder defence?

Twtrland
Yet another Twitter tool, but one with a nice, visually appealing layout that can help you search through users by name, topic and location quite efficiently. I typed in Dublin and got the many users who list this as their location, but I can narrow it down even further by age, gender and other attributes. Clicking on the “celebrities” tag, the top five by most followers turned up. In case you’re wondering, Brian O’Driscoll topped the list but The Irish Times was in there too, natch! Handy.
