Web Log: Microsoft’s Tossup gets answers

Meeting old university pals can be agonising. Sure, it's great to see everyone again but it takes about two months of email chains going back and forth until the whole gang has agreed on one time and place to suit everyone. Knock it on the head by using Tossup, a new app from Microsoft for creating polls: get a quick yes or no answer, decide on a restaurant or pick a time. Tossup is the latest creation to emerge from the Microsoft Garage, a creative space for Redmond employees to come up with new ideas and apps. It's a bit like a corporate version of a hackerspace where workers can tinker with new tech. For now, Tossup is available only in the US via iOS and Android.
