We can no longer ‘favourite’ tweets, we have to ‘heart’ them and they’re called ‘likes’ now

It is the little things that count, or at least it is the little things that drive us crazy.

Earlier this week plenty of Twitter users noticed that the star-shaped icon for adding tweets to their ‘favourites’ list has morphed into a wussy looking heart. This has caused outrage and upset.

We can no longer ‘favourite’ tweets, we have to ‘heart’ them and they’re called ‘likes’ now.

But there are plenty of Chrome plug-ins that can shield your eyes from this abomination. The appropriately named StarBack does what it says on the tin.

In defence of this change Twitter says: “You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favourite.” Touché.
