World’s first connected luggage

There are some things in life that you never really considered had a role as a smart device.

If carry-on luggage was one such device, those days are numbered. A new project on Indiegogo is aiming to deliver the world’s first connected luggage, known as the Bluesmart.

The roll-on bag allows you to track its location, lock it with your smartphone and track your trip data; all through your smartphone. There is also an integrated digital scales to weigh your bag. The Bluesmart not only allows you to track its location but it also has another useful feature: a back-up battery that will charge your mobile devices.

Given the new restrictions on mobile devices while flying, that battery could save your smartphone or tablet one day.
