TSB has reduced its fixed and variable mortgage interest rates to match Irish Permanent. This is part of a continuing process of aligning products and pricing in both institutions, following the takeover of TSB by Irish Life & Permanent.

Malin to Mizen charity rideA FOUR-day charity motor cycle ride from Malin Head to Mizen Head is to get under way on Monday. The event is being sponsored by the Cosgrave property group; insurance company Carole Nash; Killorglin-based Western Union; and, also Killorglin-based Gulliver services. The ride is being undertaken by five members of the Irish Veteran & Vintage Motor Cycle Club.

Mr Jack Fahy, Mr Peter McMurtry, Mr Gerald Feeney, Mr Gerrett Fitzgerald and Mr Maurice Carroll hope to raise funds for the Irish Deaf Society, the Benevolent Society for the Motor and Cycle Industry and St Rosalie's Home for the Mentally Handicapped in Portmarnock, Co Dublin.
