TV3 recorded average operating losses of £383,000 a month in the third quarter of 1999. These were down from average monthly losses of £565,000 posted in its first two months of operation.
Revenue increased to £3,971,000 for the period September 1st to November 30th 1999, a 101.3 per cent year-on-year gain.
The channel was moving towards an operating profit in its third year of operation, the company said. Expansion of the schedule from 100 hours to 138 hours per week in September 1999, and a projected increase in indigenous production to over 1,000 hours, contributed to revenue growth.
