BRITISH unemployment has fallen to its lowest level for over five years after another drop in the number of people out of work and claiming benefit, official figures showed yesterday.

The seasonally adjusted total for June was 2,152,000 14,300 lower than the previous month, a rate of 7.7 per cent.
