Van den Bergh Foods is investing £2.5 million (€3.17 million) in the launch of Enjoy! - a new range of convenience food. In terms of spend, it is the company's biggest food launch to date and the first burst of advertising to support the launch was a two-week "tease and reveal" campaign on both television and outdoor. According to Mr Christian Kleine, business unit director with the company, the product - which is being launched in Ireland this week in tandem with its UK launch - is "designed to appeal to the growing number of cash-rich, time-poor consumers".

A new marketing service firm concentrating on what it calls Internet Centric Marketing has been launched by Mr Stephen Stynes, former director of business development at Nua. The company, called TecBrand, will focus on the high-technology and telecommunications sector. Owens DDB advertising agency is an investor in the new company and according to Mr Eddie O'Mahoney, chairman of Owens DDB, the investment represents a strategic move for the company.

Green Isle has put the Donegal Catch account out to pitch. Four agencies have been invited to bid for the business including Bates, CDP, Dimension and Youngs. The incumbent agency, DDFH&B, will not be pitching.
