The VHI has just launched a new website (www.vhi.ie) following a £4 million (€5.08 million) investment in a "healthcare portal".

The site will offer VHI customers tailored health information. Services will include a health records storage system for individuals and families allowing password access to medical details.

There is also comprehensive healthcare information according to age, and regular updates on conditions, treatment and preventative medicine.

The site will provide secure links to VHI's 7,000 corporate group schemes, allowing online administration, including a membership update system and monthly billing.
