Many hours of surfing have convinced Mr Davis, who is playing in Goff's this week, that he is not after all the most boring man in the world.

"I've come out of the closet and am proud to be boring," says Mr Davis. "I'm glad to see just how many other people are making a public statement of their boringness through their website."

The nominator of the world's most boring website will receive a signed snooker cue from Mr Davis, who is conducting the stunt on behalf of altodigital.com, a web hosting business for SMEs.
