INSTALL: Google+ app on  your iPhone

DESPITE MIXED reviews, Google’s latest foray into the world of social networking is still clocking up users and may have close to 20 million by the time you read this. BOOKMARK: Live traffic data on Google Maps

GOOGLE ROLLED out the live traffic data feature on Google Maps to 13 European countries last week including Ireland, allowing you to see the flow of vehicles on the major motorways and cities.

Live traffic data is updated every 5-10 minutes but there's also the ability to set the time and day of the week so you can see what typical traffic conditions are like in an area.

The service is supported as a layer on the Web version of Google Maps but also Google Maps for mobile and Google Maps Navigation (Beta). maps.google.com
