A wholly-Irish owned and managed call centre opened this week in Wicklow to sell multimedia training products over the telephone. Solar Telemarketing is jointly owned by Mr Paul McBride, managing director, and Flexible Multimedia, a multimedia training company. The project, which is supported by the Wicklow Rural Partnership programme, will initially employ 10 people from the Wicklow area.

The bulk of Solar Telemarketing's business will focus on training videos and interactive CD-Rom courses. It will also act as a telemarketing agency handling campaigns for a variety of clients in the IT, leisure, publishing and public sector arenas.
