Cork-based M/A-COM Eurotec, the wireless technology unit of AMP Incorporated, plans to employ a further 200 people over the next three to five years. The announcement came at the opening of a new 60,000 sq ft purpose built electronics manufacturing plant at Loughmahon Technology Park, attended by the Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms Harney. The new facility represents a £10 million investment and is to become M/A-COM's European Centre for chip design.
