Looking for a career move into banking? Then make sure to swing by the Career Zoo in Dublin's Convention Centre on Saturday, as Bank of Ireland has committed to hire at least ten professionals on the day as part of wider career opportunities available at the financial institution.
Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton will be launching the event which is expected to attract more than 10,000 graduates and young professionals.
Companies in attendance will include major multinationals such as Liberty IT, Ericsson, Citrix, SurveyMonkey, Sage and JP Morgan, as well as leading Irish businesses such as Version 1, which is one of the fastest growing IT services companies in western Europe.
All of the job opportunities on offer will be located in Ireland, and not just in major cities. For example, multinational finance company Pramerica has a wide selection of jobs available in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
A new feature at this year’s event will be a dedicated Coder Hack Space where delegates are welcome to bring their coding problems on the day to speak with peers from a variety of coding groups.
“This ninth edition of Career Zoo looks set to be our biggest yet with even more new features,” said Career Zoo director Brian Ó hOisín. “The introduction of [a] ‘Smart Badging’ system will make it even easier for jobseekers and employers to collect and share information with each other.”
“Tech Town will showcase the growing Irish tech sector and the unique employment opportunities that are on offer,” he said.
“We are also adding the ‘International Financial District’, highlighting a host of exciting positions across Ireland’s financial sector, both traditional roles and new tech roles that the digital revolution is creating.”
The International Financial District will be sponsored by Bank of Ireland. Anyone interested in attending the event can register in advance on careerzoo.ie.
