Xilinx, the California based parent of Xilinx Ireland, has reported a 30 per cent increase in pre tax profits to 532.5 million (£20.3 million) in the three months to the end of June last. Xilinx, which employs 120 people in Dublin, announced yesterday that its sales over the quarter rose by 19 per cent to $150.2 million. The company is currently expanding in Ireland and is expected to employ up to 300 people at its new £20 million engineering and manufacturing facility in Dublin over the next three years. The Irish operations handle all of the group's international customer orders outside North America.
