Fans of Castlevania 's series will find much to like about this new title – and probably a bit to dislike too. The story has all the ingredients: a family feud, an epic fight between good and evil, plenty of decent battles. Brotherhood of Light knight Trevor, his son Simon, and Alucard seek to destroy Dracula. Throughout the game you can take on the roles of the Belmonts and Alucard as they uncover the mystery behind the family and try to defeat Dracula. The story is told in three nonlinear acts, which can be a little confusing, but it's also fascinating. It looks good too. Mirror of Fate is a 2D sidescroller, but still uses the 3DS's capabilities to bring depth to the graphics. On the downside, you feel as if you are being dragged from combat to combat, and the early levels are far too easy. As you progress, however, you'll be glad of them as the difficulty ramps up.
