Win two tickets to Wexford Festival Opera and a pre-opera lunch.

Wexford Festival Opera is giving one lucky Irish Times subscriber the chance to win two tickets to one of the mainstage operas at the Festival this autumn – Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali by Gaetano Donizetti - and a pre-opera lunch for two at La Vista Café & Restaurant at the National Opera House on Monday, October 28th.

Marvel at the breathtaking views of Wexford’s old town and harbour, while you enjoy your pre-opera lunch in the heart of Wexford’s historic national opera building. Following your lunch and taking place in the same building, you will attend one of the main operas on the stage of the National Opera House, Wexford on Monday 28 October at 5pm. Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali by Gaetano Donizetti first premiered in 1827 and is one of three mainstage operas at this year’s Festival. This two-act farce shines an exaggerated spotlight on the behind-the-scenes working of a theatre and the rehearsal process, showing what can go wrong when the egos of the performers get in the way of putting on a good show. Sung in Italian with English surtitles. Click here to find out more.
