REBECCA STORM RETURNS TO THE STAGE IN ANNIE THIS CHRISTMAS
The first lady of musical theatre - Rebecca Storm - is back on stage at the National Concert Hall in Festival Productions’ Christmas spectacular ANNIE!
Playing the fabulously tragic Miss Hannigan, she joins Tony Finnegan as Daddy Warbucks, and two incredible new talents Juliette Maguire and Juneta Gasiūnaitė, who share the role of Annie. This lavish production is a treat for all ages, with spectacular costumes and sets, and the acclaimed Festival chorus, dancers and orchestra.
For more than 40 years, Rebecca Storm has been Musical Theatre Royalty. Known and loved for leading West End roles in Blood Brothers, Evita, Chess, Les Miserable and many more, audiences in Ireland have long claimed her as one of our own. “Miss Hannigan is a great role”, says Rebecca Storm, “and I really look forward to playing her with Festival Productions this Christmas. The talent in the cast is incredible - I am so impressed by Juneta and Juliette playing Annie and all of the orphans. We will have great fun bringing it to life on the stage at the NCH.”
ANNIE, the loveable orphan and her dream of tomorrow, has captured hearts for generations. The plucky orphan from New York City, forced to live at Miss Hannigan’s miserable orphanage, somehow manages to spread sunshine and joy, and never loses hope for the future. Her luck changes when she is taken in by America’s richest billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, but the path ahead is not without turns! ANNIE is full of the songs you know and love; It’s a Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You, and the eternal anthem of optimism Tomorrow!
Festival Productions, the team that brought The Sound of Music, Oliver! and The Wizard of Oz to the National Concert Hall in recent years, presents this all Irish production.
The show runs for 11 performances only, from December 27th, 2024 to January 3rd, 2025 with matinee performances and family tickets available. Tickets are priced from €29 - €39. Tickets can be booked here.
