Two men arrested after attempted shooting in Finglas

A number of Garda units responded to the reports of shots fired shortly before 3pm on Tolka Valley Road.

Two men have been arrested following reports of an attempted shooting in Finglas in north Dublin on Monday afternoon.

A number of Garda units responded to the reports of shots fired shortly before 3pm on Tolka Valley Road, which runs just north of Tolka Valley Park, a large public park which separates the suburbs of Finglas and Cabra.

There were no reports of injuries. A Garda spokesman on Monday night said two men, in their 20s and 30s had been arrested following the incident and were detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
