TOP price of £14,200 was achieved for a late 19th century diamond necklace during last Wednesday's auction of fine jewellery at O'Reilly's of Upper Exchange Street in Dublin. Other notable prices included £6,100 for a Victorian three-stone diamond ring of approximately four carats; £5,000 for an emerald single-stone ring with diamond shoulders, and a total of almost seven carats; £4,500 for a solitaire diamond ring of two-and-a-half carats, in its original platinum mount; and £4,300 for a solitaire diamond ring of two carats in a yellow gold mount.
