Shooting on Brian Kirk’s new feature Middletown commenced last week in the eye-wateringly picturesque Monaghan village of Glaslough.
As reported in these pages recently, Matthew Macfadyen will star. Since that last bulletin, Eva Birthistle and Gerard McSorley have also joined the cast. In other local news, The Front Line, David Gleeson’s follow-up to his feature Cowboys & Angels, has just begun filming in and about Dublin.
Telling the story of a Congolese musician who falls in the way of villains, the picture stars Eriq Ebouaney and James Frain, as wel as – it being a condition for inclusion in this paragraph – one Gerard McSorley.
