Furniture and rare books for Clontarf Castle event
Experts and dilettantes alike should find something to suit their tastes at an antiques fair in Clontarf Castle, Dublin, tomorrow. With over 60 stands, there will be a good range of Irish and English Georgian silver. Dealers attending the fair include Mullalys of Kilkenny, who specialise in Georgian and Victorian furniture. Co. Mayo dealers, Jonathan Beech, a specialist in 18th and 19th-century grandfather clocks, and Vanessa Parker, who deals in rare books and prints, will hold stalls. Porcelain and glass dealer, Jackie Northridge, from Cork city, will also have a stand. Members of the public can get free valuations for collector items, such as coins, stamps, postcards and military medals. Admission to the fair is £2 for; accompanied children will be admitted free. Opening hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
