SMALL PRINT:LAUNCHED LAST month, the South Circular is a small but significant step in Irish e-publishing.

Set-up by recession re-thinker Aoife Walsh, the magazine is a monthly collection of four short stories published online and available as an app for smartphones and tablets. The e-journal is a product of Walsh’s love of short stories, whose brevity she considers well suited to technological media consumption.

Her aim is to combine the austere tech world of e-publishing with the creative approach of graphic design, creating something practical and beautiful.

The e-journal is open to submissions with the simple criterion that it be written in English.
