Art Matters, the Arts Council's published account of its spending, it due to be published tomorrow. Most of this year's important funding decisions have already been made known, but there are still some interesting nuggets. Investment in local authority partnerships has been increased by 27 per cent, for instance, and this will facilitate the publication of three local authority arts plans this year.

A new fund of £30,000 has been established to fund interdisciplinary collaborations; this will be available to groups of artists and organisations wishing to create art in a collaborative fashion, and the closing date for applications is April 15th.

An action plan has been put together, under the new Irish Language Officer, Dermot Mc Loughlin, to allow the Council to more effectively pursue a policy of bilingualism.
