Victorian oak breakfront bookcase fetches £3,200
Adams of Blackrock described last Tuesday's auction on its premises as "bumper", as "a large group of people gathered after the bank holiday weekend" to bid for some 500 lots. Among these, a Victorian three-door oak breakfront bookcase fetched £3,200 and an ebony and burr walnut breakfront cabinet sold for £2,700.
A set of 10 Cromwellian oak dining chairs sold for £2,100, while both a Regency sofa table and a Victorian mahogany secretaire bookcase made the same price of £2,000. Among paintings, an oil showing a fowl in a landscape made £2,200.
