Auction of ephemera, postcards and football programmes included: £1,600 for 1919 poster offering reward for capture of killers of two RIC officers at Soloheadbeg, Co Tipperary; £1,300 for 1920 cheque written by Terence MacSwiney for Tomas MacCurtain's memorial fund; £700 for 1916 poster proclaiming martial law on the second day of the Easter Rising; £360 for wooden box from Arbutus Wood, Killarney, reputed to have been Michael Collins's stationery box; £260 for a 1918 Sinn Fein poster.
June 13th:
At "Ramor", Leopardstown Park, Foxrock, Dublin. House contents auction conducted by Town & Country included: £3,700 for Victorian mahogany D-end extension dining table, circa 1870; £1,900 for set of eight mahogany Regency-style dining chairs; £800 for Victorian mirror-backed four-door inverted breakfront sideboard; £620 for Victorian mahogany lady's chair; £540 for Victorian mahogany chiffonier.
June 15th:
At Thomas P. Adams & Co, Main Street, Blackrock, Co Dublin. Fine art and furniture auction included: £3,400 for set of 16 Victorian mahogany dining chairs; £2,600 for set of eight Edwardian inlaid mahogany dining chairs; £1,600 for Victorian mahogany two-door bookcase; £1,500 for Edwardian rosewood chiffonier; £1,450 for set of eight Victorian balloonback dining chairs.
