Prices at a fine-art auction conducted at Thatch Cottage, Portmarnock, Co Dublin, by Town & Country included: £1,650 for Chippendale-style mahogany dining table; £1,400 for set of eight matching Chippendale-style dining chairs; £950 for Edwardian inlaid display cabinet; £660 for William IV mahogany settee.

Fine-art auction at the Oliver Usher Auction Rooms, Kells, Co Meath. Prices included: £1,700 for Georgian mahogany partners desk; and £1,500 for herringbone, inlaid-brass, rail-back sideboard.
Prices at a fine-art auction conducted by Thomas P. Adams, Blackrock, Co Dublin, included: £1,800 for Sheraton inlaid mahogany, semi-elliptical sidetable; £1,650 George IV mahogany serving table; £1,550 for early 19th-century mahogany sidetable; £1,200 for mid-Victorian mahogany dining-table.
