September 5th: James Adam Salerooms, St Stephen's Green, Dublin. Auction of period furniture, paintings and decorative arts including: £36,000 for pair of 19th century carved oak Gothic throne chairs; £26,000 for mid-19th century long breakfront sidetable;£20,000 for early Victorian carved and painted timber pier mirror and console table by William Froom of London; £13,000 for mahogany-cased composed canteen of early 19th century silver gilt cutlery formerly owned by the Viscounts Powerscourt.
