TWO house clearances provide the items for next Thursday's auction to be conducted by Drums at its New Street premises in Malahide, Co Dublin. Beginning at 7 p.m., the sale includes no less than three two door Victorian bookcases, one with a pull out pigeon holed secretaire. These are expected to sell for between £800 and £1,200 each.

A matching pair of girondole gilded mirrors with gesso rope decoration carries an estimate of £1,200-£1,500, and a tray back side table is expected to sell for £800-£1,000, as is a Victorian brush side library table. The approximately 300 lots also cover paintings and some porcelain, not least of which is a late 18th century blue and white bulbous vase, which is 14 inches tall and is without its original lid (estimate £400-£600).
