Our food writer Marie-Claire Digby would like you to bring your less-loved food, drink or indeed gardening books to the Bloom Festival in Phoenix Park, Dublin, next week where you can exchange them for new reads.

Most of us have shelves full of books we're tired of or rarely, if ever, consult . . . but that doesn't mean they won't be fantastically interesting to someone else. You can drop off books at The Irish TimesBook Swap Stand – beside the Bord Bia cookery stage – and collect a voucher for every book you want to swap. Vouchers can be traded for replacement books at any stage during the event. Needless to say, books should be in reasonably good condition
