LAST Wednesday's auction of jewellery and silver at O'Reilly's of Dublin saw a diamond bracelet in a ribbon and scroll design, and containing no less than 151 diamonds, sell for £11,000. A square cut solitaire diamond ring of 4.25 carats made £9,600 and an 18 carat three stone diamond and emerald ring sold for £9,500.
Other good prices at this sale included £6,200 for a solitaire diamond ring of 2.34 carats, £5,900 for an 18 carat three stone diamond ring of approximately 3.25 carats, £5,200 for a Victorian three stone diamond ring in its original setting, £4,200 for an antique oval diamond and sapphire cluster and £2,400 for a pair of salt cellars made by Joseph Johns of Limerick (circa 1750).
