Café Mambo 10th Anniversary In the House
***
Where dazed revellers gather to stare at the sunset each evening in the Ibiza town of San Antonio, Café Mambo marks 10 years of "oooh, look at that sun setting out there beyond the rocks" with yet another compilation. There are probably more Café Mambo compilations in circulation than different versions of the Wolfe Tones and this one could easily have been mistaken for many of its predecessors. Boasting 26 slow-motion, full-frontal horizontal chillers, it's a bevy of usual suspects (A Man Called Adam, Beanfield, David Holmes), old people's house names (Ballistic Brothers, Mother) and acts who specialise in creating noises which make you coo, purr and sigh deeply with the sheer utopian pleasure of it all (Distance, Prana, Toyshop). If you don't already own a chillout album, you might as well start here.
