To mark the new millennium, The Irish Times introduces 2000 AD, a monthly series on 2,000 years of Christianity. To run on the last Monday of each month throughout the year, it will feature essays by high-profile writers reflecting on the Christian Church, past present and future. It will also include A Brief History of Christianity, by Patrick Comerford, in 12 parts. The new millennium is also being marked in this newspaper by The Jesus Report which appears every Monday in the foreign news section. Written by our Religious Affairs Correspondent, Patsy McGarry, it gives contemporary treatment to Gospel stories
