The National Chamber Choir is continuing its series of "Choral Composition Open Days", writes Michael Dervan. The sessions are open to professional and semi-professional composers, presenting the opportunity of hearing work or work-in-progress in rehearsal with the National Chamber Choir under its conductor Colin Mawby. Applications will be accepted "on suitability and on a first-come-first-served basis" and the number of composers facilitated at any particular session will depend on "the complexity of the compositions received". Open days are scheduled for this afternoon, July 9th, and September 24th. Full information from the NCC at 01-704 5665; fax: 01-704 5603; e-mail: national.chamber.choir@dcu.ie.
