Thomas Adams of Blackrock, Dublin, will hold an auction of fine art and furniture on the company's premises next Tuesday, starting at II a.m. The ceramic selection includes a Royal Worcester coffee service, dating from around 1930 this carries an estimate of £700-£900.
Among the furniture, probably the highest price will be made by a mahogany partner's desk, which is expected to sell for £3,500-£4,000, while a Georgian, inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase's estimate is £2,000-£2,500. A Victorian walnut lady's writing desk could fetch £1,500-£2,000, and both a Georgian oak settle and a satin wood patience table from the same period have estimates of £1,000-£1,500.
