An Edwardian bow-front commode was the top-selling lot at the Adams sale in Blackrock last Tuesday, fetching just over £3,000 under the hammer.
The satinwood commode, decorated with hand-painted flower garlands, was knocked down to a buyer from the trade. A semi-elliptical satinwood card table sold for £2,600, and a George III mahogany triple flap backgammon and card table made £2,050.
