In Medb Ruane's opinion column of September 1st, reference was made to a 0.009 per cent increase in the rate of abortions in Britain between 1987 and 1988 and an increase in numbers of 207. The years should have read 1988 and 1989 and the rate of increase was in fact 0.1 per cent.

A report in yesterday's editions headed "Trimble posse rolls into town on by-election unity mission" came from Ballyclare, not Ballycastle as stated.
