In Where's That in yesterday's paper the date for the shutting of the gates in Derry was incorrectly given as 1649. In fact, the apprentice boys closed the gates of the city on December 7th, 1688.

The columns of Liam O Muirthile's Peann Coitianta were transposed in last Thursday's newspaper (November 2nd). The error occurred in the production process.

Viewings of the contents of Mount John House in Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow, will be held next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and not, as incorrectly reported in last Saturday's Fine Arts page, on November 5th, 6th and 7th.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
