A photograph of Mr Conor McCarthy, chairman of Ryan Hotels, was inadvertently used instead of a photograph of Mr Conor McCarthy, director of group operations at Ryanair, in the editions of Wednesday, December 31st, 1997.

A caption on a front-page photograph yesterday referred to a Nimrod helicopter. This was incorrect. The Nimrod is a fixed-wing surveillance aircraft.

In an opinion piece by Peter Brennan on Wednesday, the Irish Business Bureau was described as IBEC's EU office. The IBB is also the office of the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland.
