The Irish EU Commissioner, Mr Padraig Flynn, spoke to journalists in the European Parliament in Brussels on Tuesday, and not, as indicated by the report in yesterday's editions, in Strasbourg.

A Circuit Court report headed "Pictures of road help defeat claim", in the editions of January 19th, stated erroneously that two children had given evidence in a case for damages taken by Paul Dalton through his father against An Bord Gais as a result of a cycling accident. In fact, evidence was given only by one child, not the plaintiff.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
