A report in Wednesday's editions on a demand for more gardai in Galway quoted the estimated cost of installing a video surveillance system proposed by Galway Chamber of Commerce at £75,000. The figure should have been £750,000. The error occurred in the editing process.

A report in yesterday's editions on the planning inquiry into holiday homes in Corraun, Co Mayo, quoted Mr John McHugh as representing Achill Tourism. While reference was made at the inquiry to Mr McHugh's association with this body, he wishes to point out that he was speaking in a personal capacity and was also representing Dooagh Residents' Association.
