A lecture at the National Library, Kildare Street, Dublin 2, was wrongly included in last Thursday's 'What's On Today' column. The public lecture by Prof Declan Kiberd, 'From Modern to Post-modern: Joyce and Beckett', will take place at 8 pm on Thursday, March 26th. We regret any convenience caused by this error.

In the Quidnunc column last Saturday, the Electoral Act was incorrectly referred to as the Ethics Act. The Electoral Act, which the Public Offices Commission is having difficulty in interpreting, was not the responsibility of the former minister of State at the Department of the Tanaiste, Eithne FitzGerald, as stated. Her responsibility was for the Ethics Act and the Freedom of Information Act which are not being challenged.

Where errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as practicable.
