In a report on European election candidates in last Wednesday's editions, it was incorrectly stated that Father Liam Sharkey was the first priest to contest an election in the State. Father Patrick Ryan contested the European elections in the Munster constituency in 1989.
A report from Beijing on May 11th on the experiences of foreign residents during anti-NATO demonstrations incorrectly referred to a Dublin banker, Mr Malachy McAllister, as Malcolm McAlister.
