A report in last Wednesday's editions incorrectly stated that Mr Sergei Kiriyenko had been a candidate for the Russian presidency. This should have read prime minister.
A report in yesterday's sports pages incorrectly stated that Offaly hurler Ger Oakley had left the county panel because of a disagreement with the team management. Oakley, in fact, has resolved any difficulties which arose after the All-Ireland hurling semi-final replay against Clare on August 22nd and is training with the Offaly panel for the All-Ireland final on September 13th.
A headline in a report last Friday referred to Tel Aviv as Israel's capital. In 1980, Jerusalem was proclaimed the "sole and indivisible capital" of Israel.
An article in yesterday's editions on the McColgan inquiry may have given the mistaken impression that Mr Kieran McGrath, editor of Irish Social Worker, was in favour of parents being present for interviews with their children, in cases where abuse is suspected. Mr McGrath's comments related to parents giving consent to interviews, not to being present for them.
