Two figures were reported incorrectly in the front-page report of the Irish Times/MRBI opinion poll in Saturday's editions.

The correct figures are: first choice of 49 per cent of voters is to improve public services; 15 per cent to develop infrastructure; 14 per cent each to reduce the lower and higher rates of taxation; and 8 per cent to reduce the national debt.

When errors occur it is the policy of The Irish Times to correct or clarify as soon as it is practicable.
