Birdwatch Ireland's national open day at Bull Island, Dublin, takes place tomorrow, Sunday, not today, as stated in yesterday's What's On column.
Two articles on the MTV Music Awards, on Wednesday and Friday, referred to the fact that out of an audience of 4,000, 3,000 did not pay for tickets. In addition to the 1,000 tickets bought by pop fans, a spokesman for the Awards states, another 2,000 tickets were paid for by record labels and the music industry and this money was donated to the charity Nordoff Robbins. Artists who attended also contributed towards the charity. The remaining tickets were free to the media.
