In an article last Saturday headed "Jurors did not believe all that TD said" it was stated that Mr Patrick Cooney was "head of the unit responsible for selling these [CMI] policies" in National Irish Bank. In fact, Mr Cooney was an investment analyst working for the unit, the members of which did not report to him.
In last Saturday's Weekend supplement, the article headed "A creek turned to sludge", about an environmental disaster in Kentucky and the US environment policy under President Bush, was written by Lucy Carrigan, not Lucy Carrington as stated.
An article in Out of the West in Monday's editions on Joanne Sweeney's experiences as a single parent stated that she had saved the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs the sum of £7,825.60 in lone parent's allowance. The correct figure is £17,825.60. The error occurred during transmission.
